Bikes looking good Simon, sorry can't help with the seat latch, looks like it could be useful as a bottle opener? :D
I'm surprised you of all people hate electrics, I'd come and give you a hand if I wasn't working for the next month.
If your still having fun next month let us know and I'll try and get up to you to help.
Cheers,

Hello Blue,
Give me good old mains electrics any day, car and bike electrics are a black art :o :o

How are you getting on with your cable laying (no pun intended) :(

Hi Simon,
Not had any time to order the cable let alone do anything else. :(
Bike electrics are fun, what troubles are you having?

Cheers

Hello Blue,

When you do it let me know. ;)

The bike electrics were hacked about with when I bought it, bits of tape here, twisted bits of wire there, no colour coding of cables, in short it was a mess, and really I should have just bought a new wiring harness. it would have been soooooo much quicker.

Anyway I will continue, I won't be beaten.

Hi all,

Got out on the orange peril today, and I must say after 5500 miles I now think she needs a good tune up :( After decelerating from high speed I now get a lot of backfiring. It might sound good but it can't be doing me engine any good!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway the Lardy Dax has finally beaten me   It looks like i'll be phoning up the wizard with wires sooner than expected.

Just thought i'd stick a photo of the triplets with the caption "Does my bum look big"!!!

Hello Waynus,

After having a deep and meaniful conversation with "Ferret" from "Custom Elecktrickery" I think I will now undertake another look at the black art. What that bloke dosen't know about auto electrics, isn't worth knowing about. 8-) Although if you do need him, his diary is full until August/September

The problem i've had is that the cables have been spliced and taped mid point, so the colours bare no resemblance the the originals. I have since replaced these, and hopefully through a series of elimination, I will hope to complete this task soon. First thing first......................TIDY UP MY GARAGE!!! :? :?

I'll let you all know how i've got on.

Hello Peeps,

Just had a quick pre MOT check on the orange peril, and found to my surprise that the rear sprocket has half the teeth worn down, some missing and all of them bent over.  This is with my 160cc engine, whats it going to be like with the 190cc :?:
Worn rear socket 1.JPGWorn rear sprocket.JPG I'll need to look for a decent rear sprocket now.

Wow... That's pretty worn out indeed!
Is that a low quality / cheap sprocket?
