Nice!
You'll be suprised how much a new set of tyres do to the general look of the bike!
What sizes did you order?

Yeah it's the first thing I always look at (as well as the wheels).

I ordered 3.50 - 10. Opted for the standard size because my skills won't allow me to make huge adjustments to the bike!

Came to £61.80 in total which was a good price (got free delivery too).

Have you ever had a wheel apart before? If so, I have a few questions!

Well, 130-**-10 is the largest size without having to make any adjustements.
The price seems right!

Nice one, thanks for the diagrams.

I have those ones saved on my computer at home.

I think I am going to order every part in those diagrams apart from the axle bolts, hubs and rims.

I might try and get it all priced up later to see how much it comes to... probably a lot :(

I have just found that out by pricing up all the things I need for just the front wheel!

Not including wheel rims, tube, tyre, axle bolt etc it has come to 116 Euros :( Just for the front wheel!!!

Do you think any of the parts in the wheel will be reusable?

Most of the parts can be re-used, if you clean them well.
Dismantle the wheel, and check each part if it has to be replaced.
Sandblast, spraypaint, grease it and fit again!

Bearings etc. have to be checked if they need to be replaced.
Bolts (as said before) can be bought dirt cheap at a hardware store.

Thanks for the info.

Ordered 4 new wheel bearings last night. Cost me £18.20 for the 4 instead of the 4x12Euros from the Honda website and they are basically the same.

Think I am going to have the wheel apart before I go ordering anymore bits! :)

My thoughts exactely.
Otherwise, you might end up paying a lot for parts you don't even need.

A good cleaning usually does the job.
Don't forget to oil everything, as this highly increases live span of different parts and their working.
But don't cut down on important parts such as brake pads etc.

Hi Wannes,

Yes I am going to have the wheel off soon and then jot down what I need to order. Will be buying new brake shoes for definite though.
I am pretty confident that I will need to replace a lot of the parts as the wheels are very rusted and nothing has been changed since the bike was new.
