Thanks ST 70 FF

Hi,
i have just recently joined and am in the process of my first ever restoration!!
All going well but I would love to know the year of manufacture of my bike. I saw that ST70 had one with frame number ST70-14****
My frame number is ST70-149019. I also have the switch for the headlights on the side of the headlamp, if this helps.
I would love your opinion on the date or your frame number and date, as i have to prove to DVLA the age.
I have tried Honda et al and no joy.
Many thanks

Hi Chris, good luck with your st70 project, I am away until next week but I have a 1972 and a 1973 st70 and I will look up the exact frame numbers and year and month of registration and maybe we can get near to the year of your ST's year of manufacture

Thank you so much.
It would be very much appreciated.
Kind regards
Chris

Hi Chris, I have just looked at my paperwork and my first st70 is frame number ST70-138478 registered 16th June 1972 and my second st70 is frame number ST70-141212 registered 8th February 1973

ST70
Many thanks for that. with my frame number being ST70-149019 i wonder where my date lies??
With that increase, mine may be 1976/1977? I wonder if production figures stayed the same?

ST70
I found this online which is interesting!
- 1976 HONDA ST70 DAX
- Registration no. PCA 561P Frame no. ST70-151162 Engine no. ST70-E-151509
That would make mine 74/75 ish! ?? I wish i could find out for sure.
Best
Chris

Hi Chris, well I think we're getting closer, I wonder if any of the other owners on this site has their frame number nearer to your frame number

Agreed. Its just how to convince DVLA too!!

Hi Chris, mine is ST70142169 and is 7-9-73 regards FF
