Re: Date of manufacture
I've recently got an ST70 up and running and am looking to get it on the road but I having the same problem about finding year of manufacture, which I need to get it registered.
VIN: ST70-147889
Engine number: ST70e 138222.

If anybody can let me know the process for registering the bike with the DVLA, I would be very grateful. I've also gone to Honda and had my cheque returned with a polite letter.

Re: Date of manufacture
Honda said "thank you....

Your request has been investigated, however, I am sorry to have to advise that on this occasion it has not been possible to identify your motorcycle.
Any dating letter/certificate must be sought from the vehicle manufacturer in the first instance.
Where the manufacturer is still in existence, but is unable to provide a definitive date of manufacture for that vehicle because they no longer hold archive information for that particular model, then alternative dating evidence(i.e. dating certificate from an enthusiast club or any other organisation qualified to date a vehicle) is acceptable to date a vehicle for registration purposes.

Thank you for taking the time to contact Honda(UK)
Yours...."

Around 1974.
Sorry, I can't seem to track down the exact year.
It has to be between 1972 and 1976.

My frame number is st70-148778 and the date of first registration is 17-7-75 if this helps narrow it down a bit

Re: Date of manufacture
I've just tracked down the guy who owned it before me who said it was on a K plate but could remember the reg number. Thanks for the pointers, so it seems it likely to be about 1973/74.

Does anybody know what forms/the process I need to complete to get it registered with the DVLA?

Many thanks

hello...thanks for letting me join :)

I've just got an ST70,without any documents or numberplate

has anybody had a positive response from Honda UK in dating an ST from the frame number?

I don't want to waste time waiting for them to get back to me...
