Hi All,

Got my Dax copies today. They are sort of a Dax Chaly cross but will do the job OK. They are supplied in white primer and look pretty good quilty. They do not have the front stay on the front gaurd and some of the rolling of the metal could be better, but you would have to look closley to spot this. I am going to try and get them sprayed soon and fitted.

If you are after the original guards then keep looking. If you need a pair of guards to do the job and look the part for £27.00 each then I don't think you can go wrong.

They should be on Monkeybike UK's website in the next week or so.

Regards

David

I have fitted them today and........

I have had to email MBUK as the rear is not a good copy. While I can work with this I thought anyone following this thread may like to know. The cut out for the rear suspension is out by about 50mm  and the holes don't line up too good either. I will be keeping them as I con sort out these problems. On a positve note they look pretty good in whit primer. :o

These aren't the ones I was thinking of.

One of the Far Eastern traders is doing exact copies of the ST50/70 mudguards complete with the correct stay. He had offered to supply them in bare metal or chrome and from the photos they look very good but of course you don't know until you see them in the flesh.

Hi Guys
these look to be more Chaly than ST I have seen ones on Ebay that are chromed and from Thailand which look a better shape as the ST is almost squared at the front the problem is they are fetching silly money and if all you want is a running and good looking bike you are between a rock and a hard place. Just as a follow up there are lots of parts on Ebay at the moment so dont give up hope of a bargain I intend to bid on the 6V headlight and the original swing arm.
Happy New Year and catch up with you soon
