Happy New Year to you too!

Far too much time Tufty I agree but I have been waiting for my Christmas stocking to arrive from OORacing.
Messed up and did not place my order until the 22nd so I missed the last courier and have had to wait untill the new year to get moving again with the project.
Hence having to much time to play on the computer.
My parts arrived Friday and I hope to get the bike running once I sort out the electrics, should be fun.

Hi
Happy new year
Looks like Santa was generous, give me a shout if you need any help, I got in touch with YODI about the V5 and am hoping to hear back soon.

I made a fair amount of progress today, if they sent the correct manifold and heat spacer I would have been happier.
That said looking at the manifold it won't fit how I want it to regardless of the size and its made me think a bit more about what I'm trying to do.
I got the YSN 22mm carb which should have come with a 22mm manifold, but a 26mm turned up.

Anyhow to get the manifold facing backwards I am going to have to get swivel bracket, the type that goes between the head and the inlet manifold.
I've found 20mm ones that match my head and should allow me to swivel the mainfold.
As I have the opertunity to swap the manifold I'm wondering would it be best to get a 20mm manifold and flow the manifold at the carb end to 22mm or do I get a 22mm manifold and flow the swivel bracket at the top to 22mm?
I'm thinking the 20mm swivel braket would be best as I would have 22mm of air flow closer to the head, plus its going to be easier to do.

Without the manifold I managed to fit the wiring loom, ignition, front controls, regulator, coil, HT Lead, CDI, exhaust and side stand :)
I even managed to have a go with my sanding disk, which I am very impressed with, so much im going to strip the frame my self with it and spray the inside with Fertan to treat the rust.

hopefully get the swivel bracket and manifold this week.
:)

Tufty, I wouldn't worry it took a few days before he did mine plus its the weekend (dont know if HPI runs through the weekend?) I dont know how he gets his info & to be honest I dont really care, all I can say about the guy is he sorted out a potential minefield for me & thats something the DVLA was not prepared to do (or couldn't be arsed).
Have you sent him the payment ? as I said I wouldn't be too concerned, just give him a gentle push via mail mate.
Good luck hope it turns out ok ;)
Cheers
Phil.

Saw a woman on the train the other day, she was a pure rose, unfortuanlty she'd been in a spray booth and looked kinda Orange.
Made me think about my Lady and decided she has to be white not Orange.

Was doing a bit of DIY today and had some paint left over.
Have no moeny to paint her as yet, spent my coin on an engine for my Z50A
Say hello to Lady Dulux :)

Looks ok too, shoud stop her rusting a bit,

:)
