In the uk if you have the V5 it's free to get the registration, we don't have to get this each year, but we have to pay road tax each year.

Really interesting that, I have a Dax that I`d hoped to register. I posted a letter with a cheque to Honda many moons ago & received no reply.
Don`t suppose I`ll be as lucky as you but if you would be kind enough to tell me which company carried out your H.p.i. check I`d be really grateful. Cheers Stu
