old carby

Going back to my original question,do you know of any technical diagram of the st 70z carby? I keep thinking I'm missing a part somewhere.I don't see how the metal claw can just hang in space at the end of the throttle cable.Is there a bigger rubber boot or something?? Thanks again for the incredible information!

Here is a photo of everything I have at the end of my throttle cable.What I don't understand is the cable adjuster sits on the end of the cable before the claw attachment,but you can't lengthen or shorten the cable because it's not connected to anything???I might as well not use the cable adjuster and just connect the throttle cable directly to the claw because the adjuster is not doing anything.I don't get it???

I suppose if you follow the throttle cable eventually you get to the handle bars
