Hi Dave,
It's not often you see workmanship like that, especially as there is an abundant supply of second hand and chink stuff to choose from :( :(
You're doing what we would all love to do, a ground up restoration, using all the original parts. Alas time and patience waits for no man.
Just as long as we keep the little fellas on the road that's the main thing :D :D

My legs mending fine thanks mate, I've had the insurance assessor come round and they have agreed to pay for all parts needed to get her back up and running :D
Once again i'll be back in the garage as soon as I can, and i'll get sum more photos up soon.

I'd love to see sum more photos of you beauty. ;)

All the best Simon

Hi Simon,
You're sentiments are spot on, the important thing is to keep 'em on the road by whatever means are at your disposal :)
(I can't preach though as mine was gathering dust for too long ! :( )
You're obviously 'made of the right stuff'' and are not going to let a little 'knock' put you off you're biking.
You may find you tense your grip and hover over the brake controls and experience a twisting sensation in your gut as a van/car approaches a give way just ahead of you though !!!!!!!!!!
From my own experience this does slowly fade over time........but never completely
Hope your bike didn't suffer too badly and it too makes a full and speedy return :)
I have taken photo's of most of the more interesting aspects of the restoration of my ST, so perhaps I'll start a new thread in 'technical' or 'pictures' covering it.
Thanks for you're kind words and I wish you a speedy recovery,
Dave
