Yeah, I think as well I'm referring to the dealers document.
I suppose it's been held back when the bike was imported and registrated in Belgium the first time (not done by me).
But I'd like to get it back if the regulation/laws should change here sometime. (and it's coming)
The only one I have now is the approval of the Belgian import service. (DVLA it's called in U.K.)
Thanks!
My Friend said that once he sends off the document to register the bike for the first time that document then stays with the DVLA. They then send on a registration document (used to be known as a log book, now called a V5) to the new owner of the vehicle. The document he sends off also confirms to the DVLA that the Bike conforms to British road safty standards and is type approved. (If you are registering a one off bike it has to go for a single vehicle assessment to prove that it conforms to British road safety standards which is sent off then to the DVLA when registering the one off bike.)
I cant see how you would be able to get a copy of the dealers document from the DVLA as most of the files they have are now on computer so i would say that they have no longer got the original document. They cant even get peoples driving licence details correct in the DVLA. So good luck with your quest. If i can help with anymore just ask.
