HOW ABOUT A MEETING?

I was just thinking that it might be a nice idea if as many of us as possible could possibly get togther sometime for a chin-wag and look at each others bikes? Ok so far but how about we all try to get there on our ST's? My initial thoughts that as so many of us appear to either be in the middle of a rebuild or are just having mechanical problems it whould have to be next year (perhaps May / June time when the days are at their longest?). Distance wise, I think a radius of about 100-miles is about the most anyone would want to travel on one of these bikes which would make a maxium journey that day of no-more than 200-miles for any one person. Ok, that may sound a lot but I have done it before and as long as you keep off the motorways / dual-carriageways and stick to the minor roads it is amazing how much fun it can be (carry a mobile & recovery-card just in case!). With this in mind, a luch-time / afternoon meeting would probably be best and then the long evening should allow everyone to get home in decent daylight. To determine a location probably best just to draw a circle on a map with a radius of about 100-miles around all our home addresses and then see which area is covered by the most people who would be willing to make it. There is always going to be someone who is outside the area and likewise someone is going to have to travel only a very short distance but that is all part of the fun. How about it then, anyone up for it?

Hopefully a meet will be on the cards in 2011!

2010 was a bit of a difficult year (for me anyway) as I was living abroad some of it, busy with work etc and other things. I'm hoping the Lady Dax will be back on the road this year so a meet somewhere in England will have to be planned!

I'll start a new topic/thread soon with a list of possible locations/dates so that we can get something set in stone!
