Hello all,
Thank you all for your kind regards, especially Tufty, Sorry I have'nt been on the site over winter, but like everybody else, i've been beavering away with my new Creation.
I got her re-powdercaoted in 1970's Pornstar Orange heavy glitter "ya ya das is good"
Once again Gary at professional polishers came up trumps with this scheme. Next got her some new "Kinky boots" and underbraced swingarm, yes I know not to everbodys taste but hey thats what is all about right
Got her all put together MOT'd but with 1 advisory the exhaust noise level was on maximum!!!
Taxed her insured her took her out for a spin. 6 miles in within the running in speeds BANG
The engine had created so much crankcase compression, that it blew the oil level sight glass straight out the side of the case along with all the oil. Quick as a flash I pulled in the clutch and came to a very quick stop. Luckily nothing had siezed
When I got home I had 2 choices to make,
1 Do I strip down the clutch case side and replace the oil sight glass (if indeed they do this as a spare)
2 Do I install a core plug from an engine block and drive it home from the outside.
I went for the core plug option I think the size was 25.72mm O/D this actually fitted a treat and saved me stripping my bike down Took me 10mins to fit!!!
Once that was done, I took her to London and got promptly knocked of by a van driver. Broke both my Tibia and Fibia bones of my left leg BLOODY OUCH
lukily the bikes repairable watch this space. I'll get a few picks up shortly.
Many thanks Simon
