DAX REBUILD STORY
ANYONE WHO KNOWS SHORROCKS,
THIS IS HIS DAX REBUILD STORY WRITTEN BY TUFTY
AFTER ALL THE ANTICIPATION HE GOT FRAME BACK FROM POWDER COATERS LAST WEDNESDAY WEEK
REBUILT TOTAL DAX FROM SCRATCH READY FOR MOT ON LAST MONDAY IT SAILED THROUGH
WENT TO GET IT TAXED AND MANAGED TO GET SO MUCH CRANKCASE COMPRESSION THAT IT BLEW OUT THE OIL SITEGLASS
REPLACED THAT AND FITTED A NEW BREATHER PIPE IT NOW RUNS LIKE A SEWING MACHINE ON STEROIDS
WENT TO LONDON ON THURSDAY TO SURVEY A JOB
ON THE WAY BACK CROSSING A JUNCTION A COURIER VAN DECIDED TO KNOCK SHORROCKS OFF HIS DAX AND RUN OVER IT
IN THE PROCESS OF THE ACCIDENT SHORROCKS HAD HIS LOWER LEG BADLY BROKEN
ON FRIDAY AFTERNOON HE HAD A ROD INSERTED INTO BOTH BROKEN PARTS AND WILL BE UNABLE TO WORK FOR BETWEEN 8 TO 12 WEEKS
FORTUNATELY THE COURIER COMPANY HAS ACCEPTED FULL LIABILITY
THE COURIER SAID THAT HE HAD BEEN BLINDED BY THE NEW METALFLAKE PAINT JOB IN A SUBTLE TANGO ORANGE COLOUR ON THE DAX
I WOULD LIKE TO THINK THAT MOST BUILDS ARE MORE PROBLEM FREE THAN THIS ONE
GET WELL SOON MATE FROM TUFTY

Get well soon Shorrocks. I know we have to accept the risks when we go out on our bikes but It's never nice to hear about these things.
Hope you make a full recovery and can get the bike repaired and back on the road soon.

Hope you have a speedy recovery Shorrocks, :D

Shame about the bike, but don't be put off, if it's not repairable there are plenty of other ST's out there waiting for you.
Make sure you get compensated in full for the bike and your injurys.

Best,

Blue

Simon knows how to fully restore a Dax, so fixing one simple leg should be an easy job
Get well soon!!! Hope you're on the road again before summer.
