Hi, I'm a newby here. Nice to join you. I have had a ST70 since i bought it from an F1 guy in the 70's for £50. He used to use it to get around the circuits such as brand hatch he told me. I used it then and it was last taxed in 1990 (the tax disc is still on it). It's registration ends in M which makes it a 72/3 model I believe. What is the difference between a Dax and a ST70 (not Dax?)? Is mine a Dax? Sadly I have lost the registration documents but understand i can get new ones. What exactly do I need? And if i do reregister it, will it retain the same number plate, and will i have to pay a SORN each year if I don't use it on the road? I took this out of my shed and it started second go after I remembered to switch the ignition on. The battery is dry and has probably had it. It has 8500 miles on the clock. Any comments from you guys would be appreciated. 📎 ST70.jpg

You can check this by measuring the resistance. (Ohm)
Not sure what the value should be, I know it's mentioned in the workshop manual.
If your battery boils over, you know for sure it isn't working.
