Fighting Spam

Dear users,
A LOT of spam messages were posted on this nice forum the past week.
This is solved by banning accounts and deleting messages.
Whenever you see a Spam message, don't hesitate to press the "report this post" button.
This makes it a lot easier for us to keep he forum clean.

I've upgraded the forum software to the very latest version this evening to try and combat the spam. If you see any spam posts please report them straight away

Hi Phil,

I'm going to close the Chaly forum I think and create a section on this website for it because no matter what I do to combat the spam the forum just gets riddled with it!
Look out for a new section on this forum in the coming days.

This is a good start to the year as both machines share a lot of frame parts and engines certainly on the 6 volt models I do have a certain leaning towards the low rider CF70's as do the Japanese.
We also need to sort out the calender idea so as more people can meet up.

James, any ideas on how to improve protection against spam?
Or to delete all posts of the same member with one click.
Had to do a lot of cleaning once again...

I would like to use the facility to report spam on this site, but I am unable to locate the "Report this Post" button which you suggest.
I am referring to the 2 messages which were posted in the For Sale section on the 29th/30th December 2012.
The ST 70 site is fantastic and has been of great help to me when I have had queries regarding my bike.
It is a shame that idiots like those posting rubbish have nothing better to do.
I cannot possible see what fun, thrills, excitement or satisfaction they get out of this----it's a sad old world.
