FOR SALE TOPICS

Can anyone explain what is the relevance of the last two posts listed in the For Sale topic on this forum on 30 + 31 DEC?
Frankly I haven't bothered to read all the text but if theres something blindingly obvious I've missed concerning ST items for sale I'd be delighted to be advised.

Hi Brian,
Can anyone explain to ME what fun, thrill, excitement, satisfaction, these idiots get out of abusing useful and informative websites such as the ST 70 one.
Or is there something relevant in their messages that I have missed????
I have reported these posts ASAP.Let's hope they are not able to post anymore of their inane rubbish.

Regards

Mr Rainbow.

Hi Guys,

It's spam and whilst most of it is prevented occasionally some will slip through the net. Basically the topics contain links to random websites on the Internet, by having a link from another website they are trying to boost their Google ranking... Bit pointless if you ask me!

Unfortunately because it was the holidays etc there weren't any moderators etc online to delete it straight away. I've since deleted the topics and banned the 2 members who joined so hopefully they won't be able to do it again. I will make it my New Year's Resolution to check the site at least once per day, I must admit I haven't been online much lately so apologies for not removing it sooner.

Happy New Year!

James

Dear James,
Thanks for your prompt action and explanation--I am very much a computer amateur and have a lot to learn about the wide world of computers.
It is quite understandable that you do not check the site every day, especially in holiday breaks.
We all have other lives outside of motorcycles and computers.
Thanks again,

Mr Rainbow.
