Light switch

Hi,

I am after the headlight switch for my ST70. It's the 3 position swithch on the left of the headlamp shell holder

As you are probably aware and hence the reason for your post this is no-longer available new.

Monkeybike UK were selling an aftermarket lookalike but the last time I looked it was out of stock, worth contacting them to ask when they are getting them in again.

Does anyone have pictures of this switch, knob, wires? I have never seen one on a US bike and my STs dont have it either.

Thanks, when I do get hold of the switch I will see if I can get hold of an item from an electronic supplys. And try to post some details.

Just thought I would mention something re: headlight switch.

If you get your front shock holder painted or powder-coated make sure you get a good earth on the switch. The switch should earth with the forks (it sits in a recess), if it's not earthed your headlight won't work! (I had the problem myself and nearly pulled my hair out) - There is a wiring diagram somewhere on the forum which shows all the earthing points (4 of them if I remember):

Headlight switch (mentioned above)
Ignition barrel
Condenser (you will need to drop engine for this one as I had forgot to strip the paint off the bracket)!
Rear number plate holder.
