ST70 CLUTCH COVER
Looking for a servicable left hand side clutch cover with detachable points section and a sloping rear section where its covered by the chain guard.
Anyone got one for sal.A pic would be useful so I can compare with the damaged one I've got
Thanks, Brian.

Did anyone spot the (NON) deliberate mistake?
I should have said LH SIDE GENERATOR cover - not clutch cover.
It's a bit of a saga so if you're bored already you'd better sign off but believe this could be relevant to parts other people order from them.
I ordered one from CSNL and when it arrived it differed from the cover they illustrate on their website for an ST70,which clearly shows it has the removable points section. They state in the description that "this has been superseded by a part no......" - fair enough - BUT don't mention the substitute part is a one-piece cover without the removable points section. From the illustration they use - obviously copied from the original Honda parts manual - I think it would be reasonable to assume that only the part no; has been changed. I've had a real hassle with these people and pointed out that their misleading and inadequate description that doesn't tie up with the illustration could be breaching advertising standards (if they have any in Holland). It's a suppliers responsibility to supply parts as described and I don't care if they deal with zillions of bits for everything Japanese on wheels - they have got it wrong!
I'll accept that if Honda don't make that exact part any more they can't supply but their misleading description is inexcusable and needs addressing.

Anyway I'm desperate to get an original ST70 LH engine cover with the separate points cover to honour a commitment to a friend so if anyone 's got one they don't need in serviceable condition please let me know - fair price paid. I'll be at the Saffron Walden Show August 16th so could met up there
Thanks guys and hope this episode may help others

Re: ST70 CLUTCH COVER
these are hard to find so I used a C70 one and cut the sloping end to match the st70 one, to look at it you cannot tell and a c70 one is easy to get.

Yes - thanks for mentioning it but I've already got one of those but I'm trying to find one with the round detachable cover that gives access to points. It's not actually for a bike I own but for a friend with an ST70 that has a 6v engine and who wants to retain the original looks and convenience.
I'll have to keep looking!

Try Shire Bikes. They stock genuine and pattern covers. If in doubt as to the type of cover, you can at least give them a ring. Dave Silver, again UK based is worth a try.

Re: ST70 CLUTCH COVER
The early c70 ones have the detachable cover and are easy to cut to the same shape as an st cover, I did the same as you originally and ordered a new one from Honda and the cover at the same time, even the Honda dealer did not know they had changed.

Re: ST70 CLUTCH COVER
On the Original cover for ST70 you ordered, there clearly stands superceded to an other partnumber.
On that superceded part there is an picture of the cover they send to you.
The mistakes is not made by them, they only make it easy for you to find a fitting replacement part.
The same goes for several other parts that dont exist anymore.

If you want to find a NOS authentic cover try vintagehondaminitrails.com
They do a lot of NOS parts for several Honda's.
