Help, Can anyone tell me what year my st70 is?

Im restoring a honda st 70 and the frame has no paperwork and it had no number plate with it, before im going to apply for a V5 for the frame i was wondering if theres anyone that would know or have the information to say roughly what year the bike is with the frame number ST70-148118.

If not if your frame number happens to be not that far away from my numbers i.e 148*** or so could you let me know what year your bike is please.

First construction of a ST70-148xxx (so 6 digits) was June 1976.

Hi there; Mine is ST139273 - not a million miles away from yours and I have no docs of any sort or a reg no to work on.It was originally Ruby Red but has been sprayed blue and looked awful.First thing to do before it can be given a dating certificate to get it on the road, is to get it to MOT standard and get it over that hurdle.The VJMC have a dating scheme and Hoinda UK can also check and vakidate its age if it still shows up on their Japanese records

I've just come across another completely original Lady DAX from 1972 - K reg. frame no ST70 139019 - only a couple of hundred before mine.

Indeed, they are both from 1972 or early 1973.
Numbers from 140xxx upwards are built after 05.06.1973
