Another Fuel Leak
My carb has sprung another leak! For some reason fuel keeps dripping from the overflow pipe. What could be causing this?

Also, I have forgotten which way the tap needs to be for it to be turned off. Does anyone know?

Was hoping to get the bike MOT'd this week but I am so busy on my week off I might not get the time :(

Re: Another Fuel Leak
I haven't played with a carb for many years now as I have fuel injection on on my main bike and diesel engined cars however I am about to rebuild my own ST70 carb so it is a good time to dig deep into my memory banks to remember all I ever knew about them!

My immediate thought is that the float level is too high or it is sticking, that would allow too much fuel into the bowl.
If it has been ok up until now then it could just be some muck however if you have had the carb apart and just put some fuel into it then possible the height setting needs adjustment.

Yep, correct. It's a common "problem" which is easy to solve.
Just bent the floater a little so it closes earlier. (you will understand if you take a look at it, too hard to explain in english for me :( )
