Fuel leak

Hi

I'm new to the ST70 - my joy in owning one is getting severely dented today....

Ive got a horrendous fuel leak from the on off tap on the carb. When I got the bike it was not a problem.

So i took the carb off, stripped, cleaned, blew the crap out odf th eneedles. float chamber etc and fitted new gaskets, jets etc but still the fuel is falling out from around the tap body - and I mean flooding out.

I replaced the metal o ring too. Ive checked the schematic and I see the tap, a bezel with on, S and off and the round rubber internal with the holes in. Is there an O ring that I didn't see?

Am I missing something?

Please help me

There is no 'o' ring. The seal is made by pressure from the crinkle washer pushing the on/off handle against the rubber disc with the holes in(check this for damage)

Thanks Chief..

Stared at it long enough to realise that the tap goes on the rubber disc that I replaced, then the washer over that with the indicator plate over that. I had the order wrong.

It had to be something simple..........

The simple was me.

Thanks for the reply though.
