Number plate size
Guys, what size plates are you using on your ST's etc. If I put a "legal" size on it will look daft, are any of you using 8x6" ?
Cheers
Phil.

Re: Number plate size
Personally I am sticking with the legal size, it is what I have always used (even on the ST50 & ST70 and I have never thought them looking daft) and it means there is no reason to be stopped by the police or have to swop plates prior to the MOT.

Mines a little square one, looks cool but illegal ;) ( checkout my pic,s on pictures) i change it prior to the mot.

ps i have been stopped twice by the police(not for speeding) just to admire i think !!! but they never mentioned the plate :)

More impotant crimes to solve :D

Re: Number plate size
In 31-years of riding bikes on the road, the only time (up to now) that I have been given a ticket was not for speeding (although I was at the time) but for having an illegal number plate on the bike.
What anoyed me was not the fact I had been stopped or given the ticket but that I had only just bought the bike (a Mk1 Le Mans) with the plate already fitted and changing the plate for a legal one was one of the first things I intended to do. The local force said they were having a crack down and instead of letting people off with a warning (because that had no real effect) they said that a £20 fixed penelty was more likely to ensure people kept the legal plate in place.
