ST70/C90 cub engine Gear Ratios
Hello all,

I'm new to this forum. I have owned a 1972 ST70 for about 15 years and would never sell it. My son recently bought a 1969 ST50 and is delighted with it especially since we fitted it with a 90cc motor from a C90 economy cub.

I was wondering if anyone could advise on the gear ratios to use? We have a 15 tooth on the front and a 31 on the back which seems to be overgeared. I seem to remember in the dim distant past that the E motor had slighty higher gear ratios to aid the economy but I can't find any reference to this so I may well be mistaken. Anyway, if anyone who has done this conversion could help it would be much appreciated.

Many thanks

PS he will be mainly riding solo with the occasional two up trips.
