circlip and rear sprocket assembly details?

blimey, this is like a puzzle! hi there all, do i take this circlip off, put the sprocket on, then the circlip back on in its recess? so the sprocket is behind the circlip and recess? thanks.

The circlips is always on the outside.

The newer styles are with bolts.
