fasteners for carb manifold to engine?
fasteners for carb manifold to engine? just checking i have the right ones on there because one of mine were different:

i am assuming this is the right one because it torques down better than the other skinny threaded one.

M6x25 coach bolt, 10mm dia. hex head. would that be right? with about a 6mm clear bit of steel between head and thread before the thread starts.

i've got some m6x25 flanged head coach bolts coming, the flange is good on heads, etc, spreads the load like a washer.

Bolts options:

1. Original. Obtain from David Silver or CMSNL. Not too expensive.

2. Screwfix do stainless steel bolts. Cheap and won't rust, and they polish up nicely too. But they don't do them in 'flange' style (but they do sell stainless washers too). Also the sizes they offer are limited.

3. Probolt (www.probolt.com). Awesome stainless, aluminium and titanium polished flange bolts. Very sexy but expensive.

just want to check, can anyone confirm if this is the right size particularly the length. thank you. m6x25. 25 mm being the shaft length of bolt less the head.

You have 25mm and need 20mm? Just cut them down to length.....

Thread an M6 nut on before you saw them to length. Then file the sawn end smooth and add a little chamfer. Then when you unwind the nut it will clean out the thread nicely.

Re the parts diagram, it's from www.CMSNL.com (parts supplier).
