my bike only has one brake, normal?

hi there i have a brake lever on the right side and it fits to the back brake. is it normal to have only one brake fitted? i have seen this in other models too on google images.

Which bike do you have?
Only some of the mini trails (Honda Z50) have a different braking system.
Is the lever on your steering or at the bottem of your frame?

thanks waynus, i actually think there's a right foot brake and one lever on the handlebar.
