Gear Oil Question
 Can anyone tell me if there is gear oil to change in the ST70 gearbox?.. I think I see a drain plug for it but dont know how to fill it again. I'm asking this because it seems that my foot shift lever seems a bit stiff from gear to gear.

Re: Gear Oil Question
It's all the same oil used for the clutch, top end and gear box.
Drained with the #17 bolt (smaller one is for the distribution chain spanner), filler cap is in the clutch case.

Re: Gear Oil Question
Any brand will do just fine, 10-15 / 30-40-50 or even single gread 30 oil will do just fine.
Wether it's (half) synthetic or not, all the oil available today is far superior from the oil back in the '70s.
It's better to often replace the cheapest oil as to keep on riding with the most expensive oil.

Just make sure you get the type of oil for wet clutches!
So no car oil...

Thank you, I got the special motorcycle oil. Although on quite a few sites they say any 30 wt or 10-30 will do. Those were sites related to DAX particularly. But I went with motorcycle oil anyway. Who do ya trust these days in the era of internet experts right? HAHA, thanks again.
