Has anyone out ther put a lifan 125 in an st70 AND if so what shifter did you use. The one they sent me for the motor doesnt work

What's wrong with it? It doesn't fit on the axle?
The supplied shifter should work...

Isn't the Lifan 125 a 4 speed? Selector pattern N1234? not 1N234? Vmax

Amend that!! 2011 engines from one supplier appear to be 1 N 234, so try that sequence. Vmax

the shifter wont go all the way on the spindle and it hit the case. OH BOY DO I FEEL LIKE A DUMMY. AFTER FURTHER RESEARCH APPARENTLY I BOUGHT THE NEW 4 UP LIFAN 125.
