Removing Clutch housing
I want to remove the clutch housing off my ST70 engine so I can get it polished.
What I would like to know is once it is removed what problems will I occur when putting it back together.
Any advice most welcome.

To put the cover back on you need to remove the battery and switch off the fuel and drain the fuel out of the carb, then turn off the fuel vent on the filler cap. Then lie the bike on its left hand side. when you are putting the cover on make sure the gear change and the clutch adjuster line up correctly and the "oil through does not fall out. that should be it.

Why not just drain the oil in the normal way keeping the bike upright that way no parts can fall into the engine you then dont need to drain the carb but it would be a good idea to disconnect the battery, all this with the added bonus of an oil change and you could also fit a magnetic drain screw at the same time.
Just an idea.

I agree with Tufty.
Just drain the oil and dismount the cover.
Look good at the exploded drawings when putting things back together.
It really isn't a complicated job.
