12V engine in 6V bike
Hi all,

I am keen to put a larger engine in my bike for a while and wanted to do so without converting to 12V or without having the issues of finding an engine that will take the flywheel from my 6V engine.

I came across as guy in the US who sells a few little wiring looms and 6V reg/rec that allows you to do this with relative ease and just wanted to make people aware of it:

It's a helpfull link, but to my experience, I don't trust the 12v-6v convertors.
And, besides that, I would rather keep the look of the original engine as retaining the original battery and wire loom...
A good suggestion are the 6v cdi ignitions you find on flebay. I heard very good comments about them on the forum and elsewhere.
You can keep everything original, even the flywheel.
