Can someone offer any advise?
My throttle is sticking open, the cable looks ok, but I cant seem to work out why it does not return as expected.
I can still manually turn the grip back, but I fear this will casue the bike to fail its MOT.
What makes this spring back?

Thanks

Re: Sticky Throttle
Most of the original throttles have this problem.
Solution? Clean, lubrictae (bot handle mechanism and cable), fit a new spring (stronger version) in the carb.

Thanks,

If it wont make it fail the MOT them it can stay like it is until I rebuild the carb :)

Thanks,

Re: Sticky Throttle
I had this problem with my bike, as Waynus said it is a common problem. I put a new stronger spring in the carb and lubricated the mechanism and it worked well. The only priblem was the added pressure on the cable forced it to snap much sooner than it would normally, this happened twice in a year and forced me to change the throttle for a modern roller type.

Cheers, I will have a look when I rebuild the carb.
Odered the rebuild kit today from Mr Silver along with exhaust stuff and new hadle bar knoblys.
Gonna fix the stuck bar so I can get the bike in the back of my car, change the exhuast and rebuild the carb.

Oily weekend ahead :)
