carb leaking from overflow
HI

Nearing the end of a slow but enjoyable rebuild of my 73 st 70, ive looked inside my carb its not pretty to be fair white residue in the bowl etc, thought i would stick it on anyway, kicked it over and got about 5 seconds of life out of it. played with it more and noticed when you undo the idle (the one at the bottom which is NOT the srew) fuel comes out the overflow. What do you think Guys??? by reading the topics on carbs and other people problems am i better of buying new or fiddling around with this.
Many thanks
Karl

What you could try to do first is to give the carb a good clean, especially make sure the jets are clean.
If the needle doesn't stick but the overflow is still leaking, you should bend the metal piece on the floater a bit more, so it closes the fuel inlet earlier.
