Another carb problem

I managed to clean the jets up beautifully and reassembled the carb and put it back on the bike. Now my issue is that I cant get the idle set up properly and when I give the bike any throttle it stutters as if it isn't getting enough air/fuel or something. When i have the choke open it doesn't do this but the revs then increase far too much. Could I have a blockage in the air intake or something?

really confused over this one, also a little frustrated as it seems like it should be a simple one to fix.

Hace tried the needle in many different possitions also and the second from top is the best, although I still have this stutting problem.

The old man is coming to pick the bike up and we are going to have a look at it over the weekend, he is much better at this kind of thing.

Any ideas??

Also, could the float height effect the bike like this?

Can't quite believe I have been this stupid. The choke has been in the wrong position all this time and I have only just realised it. Am now itching to sort it out but can't till Sunday.
