ST70 Lights

Hello All,
should the main lights work of the battery? or only when engine is running.

Main lights are generator powered and will only function when the engine is running. As such, they will glow brighter the higher the engine is rev'ed.
The side-lamp & indicators (if fitted) are battery powered but the size of the battery is such that the indicators only flash very slowly with the engine off or on tick-over.

The later 12V Dax models had a far superior electrical systems with lights & indicators that worked properly but that is progress for you!
