CT70 3speed auto

Hi- I am restoring a 1986 Chaly cf70. The ignition switch was broken, so I bought a 6 wire generic switch . After looking at the wiring diagram, the red/black wires simply run through the switch with no contact with anything forming a loop. Connecting the other wires by colour, the bike now has spark wherever the key is. In the off position, the bike starts !, but no indicators etc,, In the on position , we have indicators etc, and spark.
The problem is the bike can be started with no key in at all !! And the engine cannot be stopped by the keys I have found there are no oem replacements in the world. Any ideas how to get a key to switch the ignition on and off .
