Wires from generator

I purchased st 70 Dax in bits, I am now rebuilding the engine the generator has 4 wires coming from it the trouble is they have been cutoff and I am left with four short white wires. Could someone please explain which wire does what. Thank you for any help in this matter will be appreciated.
