Hello
I have been chasing a problem for well over 12 months now that is stopping me from using my ST70.
From cold the bike starts and rides, but after roughly 4 miles or so when the engine is up to its warmest operating temperature, the bike starts to lose power and ultimately dies, upon taking the spark plug out at this point and kicking the bike over there is no spark, once the bike has cooled down you can get a spark again and the bike will run, until it gets hot again. So far I have tried the following:
New coil
New spark plug
New condenser
Stator rewound (I suspect this is where my problem lies but cannot find a new replacement that fits and am cautious of a second hand one given the age of them)
Has anyone had a similar issue, can anyone make any suggestions or recommendations?
Does anyone have a decent known to be working stator they would sell?
Any help would be greatly received
