st70 Miss firing
Hi everyone..... I got a 1975 ST70 about a month ago looks like new other than it had oil leaks from the cylinder head and base gaskets so strip down
also found the piston and cylinder was shot.. so went and got a 88cc kit put that on went for a ride it over heated and done in the head and camshaft as was found the intermediate cam wheel chewed up due to someone over Tension on the cam chain and the bits of rubber blocked off the oil ways in the cam so that done the whole top end in, but before this happened the bike kept miss firing..... now to cut a long story short  I have replace the whole top end and the intermediate wheel points condenser carb and new coil in other words everything

Now went out today on it for the first time and guess what it still has the same miss fire  I have gone back a checked the carb settings points etc don`t know what else to try other than the out put coil in the mag.... and if it is gone where do I get one from and how much......as this has now set me back a packet

Think I have sorted it..... I Raised the needle up one Notch and now it runs a lot better don`t want to go up one more or it might run too rich.. so i will stick with where it is at the minute but I will do a bit more checking on the jet size`s.

That's fantastic news, thank goodness it was a fairly straightforward fix
