Can someone sort my chaly
Hi, gents is there someone out there who could sort out my Chaly.

The engine is fine just needs the trimming and the kick start return sorted, I would like it converted to CDI and 12v if possible. More than happy to deliver to someone to sort for me.

My wife want to use it for work so I need someone to go right over it, convert if possible, and make it reliable.

Its a 1974 chaly with a 70cc engine.

Come on gents there must be some who has the experience to do this, my mate who has done work for me before is not keen as he likes working on my bigger bikes, so he takes ages to sort out problems with the little chaly. What I'm after is someone who will take it and sort it for my wife once and for all, as I would love it to be used more regularly.

...............trouble is, it all costs money doesnt it!!!!! If you want to convert to 12v with CDi system, it isnt gonna be a job that costs a tenner and its certainly gonna be a bit of work for someone. I think there's a kit to put a 12v backplate on a 6v bike and you'll need a coil, bulbs, battery (if it will fit in a Chaly) and maybe a wiring loom and other ancilliaries; take a look here:- http://www.monkeybike.co.uk/acatalog/El ... ition.html :?

Cheers. :D

Jefferdp, there's quite a lot of info concerning this on the forum already.
If it's done by someone that did this before, it should be completely finished in half a day, with a budget under 100£.

Parts to be replaced:
- Jingcheng (only that one!) complete ignition (flywheel + backplate)
- CDI
- 12v regulator
- 12v battery
- 12v bulbs
- 6v to 12v conversion loom (is only a small wire loom, you don't have to replace the existing)

Ignition coil, switches,... does not have to be replaced.
