ST70 light switch wiring
Hi

I have a UK 79 ST70 and the front light switch is knackered (it's the one mounted on the bowl of the headlamp). I've managed to get a replacement at great expense but it only has 5 wires where the existing one has 7 wires (and the are different colours too!). I have a wiring diagram for the existing (broken) switch layout but can anyone help me with the wiring arrangements to make the new switch work?

Re: ST70 light switch wiring
update for anyone interested.

I managed to get a CF70 (Chaly) switch that I think was also on the CB series of Hondas, however this only had 5 wires coming out of it.

When I took the old switch apart the rotary moving part was completely broken but the backplate with the wires soldered to it was in perfect condition. Both switch bodies looked identical so I removed the backplate from the Chaly switch and then replaced it with the original backplate and resassembled and everything works!! Result.

I understand the Chaly switches are a bit more easy to get hold of than the ST70 (7 wire) ones. Hopefully this may help someone out!
