Wheel Bearings

Has anyone ever replaced the front wheel bearings on a CT70 ? I have a 1970 and i don't see how i can tap out the bearings. If i could get one side out the other would be easy because i could then get to the back of it.
With both bearings in and the spacer tube that runs between them there is nowhere to strike the back of either bearing. Help!

The collar you mention should move enough for you to get a drift behind either bearing . It is probably stuck with the crud of the ages. Try a soak and a good clean in say paraffin. Then try to move the collar side to side with a bar. Best of luck.
