fork info needed
2016-01-04 17.32.45.jpgHi can you guys tell me if the extra holes in the headlight brackets are needed? (See pics) I'm restoring a bike and it seam when I look at other pics the holes are not there? Maybe only 1 on the left hand bracket for a headlight switch?? But then I've seen a pic with a bike having indicators mounted there? I'm stumped as to wether or not to weld the holes up or not? Thanks. Oh it's a 1973 6v English bike as far as I'm aware.

Are you going to put indicators on it?

What about the distance between the headlight brackets? Mine seems to be bigger than others I've spoke to? Mine measures 150-60 mm? Any ideas if this is right? Or are they bent open?

Mine measures about 125mm if you are going to use an original headlight you will need to straighten them, I assume you do not have the original headlight ?

Actually having looked at your picture again the brackets look to be on the forks in the wrong place, on my bike if the forks are pointing straight ahead the outside of the brackets is on the centre line of the fork tubes, hope that makes sense. maybe these are Chinese copy forks and that may explain the indicators. anyone else think these don't look right ?
