ST70 Engine Rebuild
Hi
I have 2 engines that need rebuilding.
Does anyone have a contact who I can send them to?
Many thanks

What's wrong with them. Worn out or blown up?

They're a good little engine to learn on. Are you not tempted to rebuild the engines yourself?

I agree. Get yourself a haynes manual for the early c70 and have a go. I've just dobe a full top and bottom end rebuild on mine and it was so much easier that I expected. I was quiet scared at opening up the crank case etc but it was fairly easy with the help of the manual. Very satisfying especially when it started 3rd kick after the rebuild. Give it a go

An easier manual to find is the Haynes for the Honda C50/90. Different bike, but essentially the same engine as the ST. You can get one cheap from Amazon. The build etc is pretty straight forward. However,if the main bearings on the crankshaft are shot. You will need a puller to remove them. Since they are an interference fit, the replacements need to be pressed on. A friendly garage should be able to help you. Dave Silver for spares and Shire Bikes for gasket set. I have dealt with both with no problems. Hope this may of been of some help.
Cheers,
Pete.
