clutch problem

Right guys
As most of you know I rode coast to coast on my friends Lady Dax now due to the weather I had to transport the bike back home in the back of her car the bike was laid on its left side on top of some back packs but i did ride it 155miles trouble free .
Well the next day after unloading the bike it started second kick but after pressing the gear leaver into first gear I started to lift my foot off the leaver it stalled as if the clutch was not disengaging . So I started back up and tried engaging second gear and it did the same as I lifted my foot off it just stalled .Anyone any thoughts on why this is happening after going so well the day before.

First thing you should look into is the bolt & nut on the outside of the clutch casing.
It sounds like this isn't set-up correctly anymore.
Turn the bolt untill the clutch disengages again, tighten the nut.
