Wiring problem

Hi to all
I have just finished a complete restoration of my st70 and got to the bit I was not looking forward to the electrics, I bought a new loom but the wires do not match wires on the light etc!! I'm at the point where it runs the light work but the battery will not charge and the lights are just pulling the power out of the battery, what do I do now!! Over here in Spain I have no one that can help!!! Anyone willing to I'm really stuck!!

Check the currency on the wiring coming from the charge coil when the bike is running.
Check connections to the regulator and battery.
On a 6v dax, only the brake light should work directly from the battery...

Could be a wiring, earthing, coil, regulator or battery issue.

Cheers for that looks I have a job for the weekend, great not looking forward to this, why did it have to be a wiring problem lol
