Rectifier Factory Or Pattern

Can anyone recommend a robust rectifier. My bike is a 1979 ST70K3 6 volt set up. The original Honda unit has been replaced with a pattern Selenium rectifier. Not very tough it would seem. The factory part seems way overpriced for what it is. Any comments appreciated.
