CT70/ST70 ENGINES
A quick question and hopefully a quick short answer.
Is a CT70 6v engine mechanically identical to an ST70 6v engine or are there any differences I should now about.
Just found out on the one I bought recently that under the accumulated gunge surrounding the engine number what looked like an "S"(T) turned out to be a "C"(T).
Hope fully not a big problem.
Pics to follow sometime soon

Brian, as far as I am aware they are pretty much the same, CT was for the U.S. market.
If it was a CT70H then it would be 4 Speed :)

The only difference can be the brand & type of ignition / flywheel / shaft.

I bought a CT70 engine thinking it was an ST70 engine, one difference I found was there is no neutral switch!
I understand the later CT engines had one fitted though..
