Yet another VIN thread
Hi everyone, I am a newbie in Cornwall and just picked this up. Apparently it has a lot of history (allegedly) and was used a a pit bike for a racing team. I have all the owners details but no supporting pics or docs of the bike!

VIN is ST70-151810 which I believe may be 1972 - can anyone confirm? Apparently it has been sat in the owners garage 30 years!

I need the usual help of identifying the reg number if anyone can help.

Points in head engine, not sure that is a 70, and the rear light makes me think it is not a UK supplied bike, Thoughts anyone?

Is that a tax disc holder under the seat?, could mean it has been taxed, and therefore registered over here, the engine looks more like a 90, any serial No's visible on it? is that a bolt on rear sprocket chaps?

It's a C90 motor in it unfortunately. It will never be a mint original so my thoughts are as original as possible and an anima 190.

Yes, it's a tax disc holder but I have no idea if that was original equipment on the bike.

Does anyone have an idea on dating the VIN?

Fastest way to find out if it's been registered in the UK is to do HPI check on the vin number.

Do you have a link? I tried a stolen/recovered check and it came back as not stolen.

If you know someone in the motor trade they should be able to do this.

Looks like I am the proud owner of RGT 230R - a 1976 model with one previous owner since 1977 :)

V5 here we come :)

Thanks for all the help!
