I just bought a honda dax and is planning to restore it. I have never done anything like this. I really don't know how to start. Can anyone help me? How will I know what kind of Dax do i have? OR is it really a dax?  (upload pic) And if so, what to do to start it? Where do i get a manual. I really would like to learn. But i have ZERO knowledge. It is in running condition.

I would really appreciate anyones help.

Hello and welcome to the forum,
To be brief I'd start by trying to positively identify exactly which model you've got by finding the frame number. It's stamped on the left hand side of the frame (the same side as seen in your pic) just to the rear of the engine casing. It should read something like ST1xxxxxxx and I think maybe have an E somewhere in the number which would show it as an English model.
The same goes for the engine number stamped on the casings.

You can see all the ST and DAX parts available by clicking on to the top right hand side of this page which will take you to CSNL who have almost every available part listed by part number can supply loads of original and pattern parts.
Another valuable source of spare parts is David Silver Spares, Lings Honda, Shire Bikes and others - all very helpful people.

From the pic you posted it looks like you're missing a "drivechain case" part no 40510098000ZE.
There's loads of used parts available on eBay but always ask first that it's the right part before you buy - don't forget "caveat emptor"!(look it up!
Hope this helps as a starter.
Good luck!
Brian
