passenger footrests

I am doing some fettling of my '75 ST70, it has two different brackets for the pillion footrests, one seems to be strengthened, as it is double the thickness, or strengthened. I just wondered which one goes on which side, if someone can take a look at theirs please ?

If I understand you correctly you are talking about item 6 and 8 on the schematic.
Item 6, the one that is reinforced goes on the right side of the bike.

I've never noticed they are different, so I'm going to check my bike to make sure I've got them the right way around

Thanks Blue, yes that answers my Q, that shows it clearly as no 6 the reinforced, I don't know wh I didn't look on that site for clarification, thanks again
